Dr Fuat Kara

Dr Kara has expertise in different engineering fields including Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Marine Hydrodynamics & Hydroelasticity, Aerodynamics & Aeroelasticity, Offshore Structures, Wave Energy Converters, Fixed and Floating Offshore Wind Turbines, Pipeline and Subsea Engineering.
He also has substantial experiences in individual and collaborative project bid preparations and winning with national and multi-national project partners in cross and multi-disciplinary research fields.
Dr Kara has considerable experiences in managing the taught programmes over the years, teaching in a wide variety of engineering disciplines and supervising the researchers in academic and industry related research projects at PhD, MSc and BSc levels.
Dr Kara is the author and developer of the advanced state-of-the-art transient three-dimensional wave-structure interaction computational fluid dynamics and finite elements tool (ITU-WAVE) directly in time domain in numerical marine hydrodynamics and hydroelasticity which is in high demand by the academia and industry
