Mark Riggio is a recognized member of the global maritime business community and currently operates his own maritime environmental consulting business, Simplify Ballast, sits as the President of ecoHarbor, an emergency ballast water treatment services provider, and serves as the Technical Director for BEMA, the Ballastwater & Environmental Manufacturers’ Association. Mark formerly held positions as the Senior Market Manager for Hyde Marine, Head of Marine Business at Filtersafe, Senior Surveyor at the Classification Society ABS, and both Port Engineer and Fleet Manager for Crowley Maritime. Mark’s diverse past helps him drive innovative solutions for complex environmental issues in the maritime industry. He is a published author and regular presenter at industry events.  A graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Mark has an Executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz School of Business and lives in Mars, Pennsylvania with his wife Amy and his three children: Hannah, Michael and Jack.
