Igor is a holder of BSc in Marine Engineering from State Marine Academy in Odessa, Ukraine and certificate in Machine Learning and Data Science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
His carrier as marine and power plant engineer includes 18 years onboard as a marine engineer and 8 years as Ship Technical Superintendent and Senior Power Plant Engineer.
He is a holder of First class marine engineer certificate.
Author’s current research interests include modelling and simulation of ship equipment processes, using SCADA generated sensors time series data and data analytic tools, focusing on application of machine learning in equipment maintenance optimization, fuel and energy efficiency improvement, development of marine and power generation equipment digital twins, and digitalization of marine operations.
