Yves De Leeneer is a Naval Architect, a European Engineer (EUR ING), a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng., C.Mar.Eng.), a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering science and Technology (IMarEST) and a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA).

He is the owner and managing director of DEEPBLUE (Est. 2008) an Engineering & Consultancy company specialised in Offshore projects.

He is also a member of the Advisory Committee of the University of Newcastle for Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.

Finally, he is the 121st President of IMarEST.
