Youth Engagement at Singapore Institute of Technology
On 14th May 2024, the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and our Joint Branch’s Youth Committee jointly delivered an enriching Technical Sharing to SIT’s Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME) students!
We invited speakers from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Geng Qin and Ilias Soultanias, to share their expertise on the Integrated Simulation Platform and Green Shipping Corridor. On top of delivering insightful and eye-opening presentations, their passion for innovation and sustainability resonated with the students, leaving a lasting impression on those who attended.
Our Youth Committee chairs, Tan Yong Kang and Sarah Long, would like to express their sincere appreciation to the NAME Student Management Committee, Marzooq and Jimin, for their tireless efforts in facilitating this event. Marzooq’s and Ji Min’s dedication to seeking out valuable learning opportunities for their peers is commendable and gratefully appreciated.
We are thrilled to celebrate the second edition of this event in as many years, as we strengthen ties with SIT NAME. We certainly look forward to delivering more engaging events for our maritime youths in years to come. Here’s to many more fruitful collaborations ahead!
