About the Speaker
Andy Liddell is an expert in the maritime industry with a background that combines a Master Mariner's credentials with extensive experience across commercial and defence maritime domains. Joining Defence in 2006 and qualifying as a commercial diver, he assumed the role of Head of Salvage & Marine Operations in 2016.
Andy has been responsible for a wide variety of salvage tasks and orchestrated complex marine operations ranging from recovering crashed aircraft to removing oil from WWII shipwrecks. A recognised leading maritime specialist for UK government, Andy regularly supports other government departments with advice on maritime operations and salvage practices.
