You can now download the slide deck used by Ed Walker from his presentation in October using the link at the bottom of this page. In this webinar, Ed explored the ‘state of play’ at the moment including the current 'conventional' system of electricity transmission.

He discussed how and why this needs to evolve based on factors such as demand locations, generation locations and a drive to achieve greater offshore coordination.

Ed looks at what the potential solutions may be, as well as the key challenges associated with such a significant overhaul of the UK transmission system.

A handful of projects in the public domain are also explored to provide real context. This presentation was followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
