In partnership with Elcome, these industry-leading companies showcased their contributions to achieving net-zero emissions and operational excellence at the IMarEST UAE Branch meeting, attended by 230 leaders from the Middle East's maritime community.
Nikeel Idnani, Honorary Secretary of IMarEST UAE Branch, set the stage, emphasizing the importance of innovative technology and sustainable practices in the mission towards net-zero emissions in the maritime sector. He stated, "The linchpin of success in achieving a greener, more interconnected maritime future lies in advanced onboard technology and comprehensive global high-speed broadband coverage. In his presentation, Claus Borum, Chief Technology Officer at Danelec, established the company's dedication to maritime innovation through their advanced Voyage Data Recorders (VDR), Shaft Power Meters (Kyma), and Ship Performance Monitoring systems. Ian McCullough, Sales Manager at SpaceX for Starlink in North America, unveiled how their cutting-edge satellite-based internet services are revolutionizing maritime connectivity.
