Our new panel-based series exploring the big issues in the marine industry starts this month.

IMarEST Explores promises an exciting new panel-based series of debates and discussions exploring the big issues facing marine resources and activities.

The series, which begins with Gender Diversity in the Marine Sector on 8 March, connects the Institute’s global community of marine professionals with wider audiences to debate key topics that affect us now – or may do in the future.

Open to the public and members, it is an opportunity to be inspired by, and connect with experts and like-minded professionals, wherever you are in the world.

Gwynne Lewis, the IMarEST Chief Executive, explained: “We want to provide a platform and means for everyone to come together to consider the pressing issues of today and tomorrow. Each IMarEST Explores panel discussion will directly relate to the Institute’s vision of a world where marine resources and activities are sustained, managed and developed for the benefit of humanity.”

How to take part in IMarEST Explores

Registration provides you with live access to each IMarEST Explores, with the ability to participate in the discussion. Immediately afterwards there will be (optional) online interactive networking sessions where you can meet and connect with others attending to continue the conversation.

You will receive an IMarEST Certificate of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for attending, and the session will remain exclusively available to watch on-demand for one month, after which we’ll share it more widely on IMarEST TV for members, and on the IMarEST YouTube channel for public viewing.

Help us shape future IMarEST Explores

We want you to suggest, and take part, in future topics that will be featured in the IMarEST Explores series.
