Cadet's Visit to Dales Marine Ltd Greenock

A Weekend Well Spent!

Our branch recently organised a shipyard tour in collaboration with Dales Marines Ltd Greenock. The tour was specifically designed for a group of deck and engineering Cadets from City of Glasgow College and was aimed at providing them with an informative and insightful experience.

During the tour, Dales representatives Charlie Connaghan and Robert Hall led an informative walk-through of the Dales Greenock shipyard facility. The Cadets had the opportunity to see first hand how the shipyard operates and learn about the various types of maintenance that are carried out.

But that's not all! Thanks to the kind permission of Calmac Ferries, Western Ferries, and Waverley Excursions, the Cadets were also given a tour of the vessels currently in the yard. This provided a rare opportunity to view the ships in a docking condition with maintenance ongoing.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all involved in organising and conducting the visit. The feedback we received from all in attendance was extremely positive, and we're pleased to have provided the Cadets with an interesting and informative visit.
