Enquire about opportunities for your organisation
Season’s greetings from everybody at the IMarEST.
Our staff are taking some well-deserved time off, so our offices will be closed for the festive period from Wednesday 25th December to Wednesday 1st January inclusive.
During this time, staff will be unable to provide any support. Don’t forget you can reset passwords automatically by clicking ‘Forgot password’ on the login screen. We wish you all a peaceful break.
Support the professional development of your staff and volunteers and access a range of benefits to boost your organisation's scientific voice through a partnership with the IMarEST.
We can work with you to map the career stages your employees may follow against internationally-recognised standards laid out by the IMarEST, such as membership grade and professional registration via our Defined Routes.
An IMarEST accredited career framework will motivate and help accelerate individuals to a higher professional standing. We support individuals throughout this process, providing guidance and continuous professional development opportunities.
The framework also supports experiential learning, so those with experience but without relevant academic qualifications can still gain professional registration (e.g. Chartered Marine Engineer/Technologist/Scientist).
The UK Royal Navy is dedicated to the training, professional development and advancement of its engineers and technicians. As the only membership body dedicated specifically to marine and naval engineers, scientists and technologists, the IMarEST is the ideal Institute for membership.
It's varied Special Interest Groups offer forums to discuss the latest technologies and the intersections between disciplines. The defined route is an excellent way for Royal Navy officers and ratings to become part of a global network of marine engineers.
