Defined Route for the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office
The IMarEST recognises that the training and development opportunities offered by the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) through its Career Level Framework is amongst the best in the world, with excellent assessment and quality control mechanisms in place.
Consequently, through its Royal Charter and under the licence authority vested in it by the Science Council, and in partnership with the UKHO, the IMarEST has created a special defined process for UKHO staff on the Career Level Framework to apply for IMarEST Professional Membership and Registration as Chartered Marine Technologist (CMarTech), Chartered Marine Scientist (CMarSci) & Chartered Scientist (CSci), Registered Marine Technologist (RMarTech) and Registered Marine Scientist (RMarSci) depending on their level of experience and specialisation.
The IMarEST’s defined route to membership and registration requires only the completion of a short application form, confirmation of CLF grading, a short career history and copies of academic certificates.
