Broadway House, Westminster
Thursday 14th November

With studies showing that seafarers typically suffer from depression and other mental health difficulties more than other occupations, the conversation around ensuring the wellbeing of seafarers is more important than ever.

Join the Guild of Benevolence, the partner charity of the IMarEST, for an evening event on seafarer mental health and the lived experience of women at sea. Guests will hear from a panel of seafarers discussing their experiences of working at sea and the challenges they've faced concerning their gender and mental health, as well as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons and former Minister for Maritime Nusrat Ghani MP.

Have your say on how change in the marine sector needs to happen and meet with those who are working to make seafaring better for the next generation.

Attendance to this event is free, but a donation to the Guild of Benevolence to support with their work in the marine community and to cover the costs of the event would be greatly appreciated.
