About the event:

The event is an opportunity for Members and Guests to hear about the history of the Steam Exhibition from its conceptual beginnings in 1988, the development of the current permanent display in 2002 and the ongoing maintenance and development of the operating displays by a dedicated group of retired Marine Engineers including the involvement of a core group of IMarEST WA Branch members. All displays will be available for live demonstration and technical description by the Museum Volunteers

  • The evening is being supported by the WA Maritime Museum who are enabling the event to be held “after hours” and will also be providing a brief presentation.
  • The doors will be opened from 4.30 pm with formalities commencing at 5.00 pm.  
  • At the completion of the meeting, it is intended to relocate to the adjacent Gage Roads Brewery for further discussions over a drink and pizza.
