Broadway House, Westminster
Thursday 14th November
With studies revealing that seafarers of all genders often experience higher rates of depression and other mental health challenges than those in many other occupations, it is vital that we address the wellbeing of every seafarer with compassion and urgency.
We invite you to join the Guild of Benevolence, the partner charity of the IMarEST, for an evening dedicated to seafarer mental health, where we will honor the lived experiences of both male and female seafarers at sea. This event will feature a diverse panel of seafarers who will bravely share their personal journeys, the challenges they have faced related to their gender and mental health, and the strength they have found within the maritime community. We are also privileged to welcome the Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons and former Minister for Maritime Nusrat Ghani MP, who will contribute to this important conversation.
Your voice matters in shaping a more supportive and inclusive marine sector. Join us in discussing how we can work together to create meaningful change, and connect with those who are passionately committed to enhancing the seafaring experience for future generations.
While attendance at this event is free, we kindly encourage a donation to the Guild of Benevolence to support their vital work in the marine community and to help cover event costs. Your generosity can make a real difference.
