This lecture will explore how the RB211 aero engine was made into an industrial gas turbine engine. The Design, Development and Service Experience of the engine up to RB211 DLE, a Dry Low Emissions engine and the world’s first low emissions aero-derivative industrial engine, which is still in production today.
