About the lecture:
The lecture will offer an alternative to the current free-fall systems which present several risks to their safe operation.
These risks will be explored in the talk and will be followed by a description of an alternative design involving two significant improvements.
The first is the addition of a launching/docking cradle and the second is a re-designed gantry system which permits the option of either a controlled descent to water level or a float free launch.
